Venice, photoblog travel 29 november 2019, day 2
First day was fantastic, but my second day in Venice was even better. I woke up at 8:00 o’clock AM, weather was mostly cloudy. After breakfast I left the hotel in Rialto moving to another one, in front of the wonderful San Marco square, the view from my room was incredible. The high water peak (about 95 cm) was expected for 11:30 AM.
Ready for this shooting day.
In the morning I’ve visited the San Marco Basilica (unfortunately no photos allowed inside). At 10:30 AM I reached the church balcony to have a top view of San Marco square with high water. The cityscape in front of my eyes was incredible, I’ve taken picture with my fuji and the 85 mm lens mounted on it, and only a pair of shots with my smartphone (here is one of this).
At 11:00 i’clock I was with my feet in San Marco square with the tide. I started taking shots for about an hour.
In the late afternoon I’ve visited the Giudecca Island (in front of Venice) with a beautiful exposition of the master Ferdinando Scianna.
This is a view from Venice of San Giorgio and Giudecca Islands, unfortunately clouds covered sunset.
While this was me at Ferdinando Scianna’s exposition with one of my favorite photos taken by him.
End of the day, last shots…
The wonderful view posted below was from my hotel room in front of San Marco square. It was about 12:30 AM, I was in pijama when I’ve seen this wonderful fog in San Marco. I was searching a situation like this so quickly I dressed and went out to make pictures with my cameras. Unfortunately for this blog I left my smartphone in my room.
End of the second day
