It’s been a while since I last posted, and it’s time to update everyone on my street photography. Due to various questions, I’ve been taking very few photos in these months. Photo editing was already slow before my daughter was born (5 may), and now it’s completely on hold, both digital and film. Yes I’m shooting a lot also with film camera, currently I have to develop and scan about 10-12 rolls while I have to edit digital photos from late 2022 to nowadays. Terrible situation, sometimes I ask myself why I still take photos. Plus I’ve to edit hundreds and hundreds pictures taken with smartphone.
Anyway in this post I’m sharing a series of photos taken between 2021 and 2022 in Rome, edited few months ago and already posted on my Instagram profile less than a month ago. This series is very special to me, especially the photo of the two kids kissing.
I love this photo so much that I’m going to add it to my very selective “Emotion” gallery. I remember these two kids kissing, isolated in an alley. I walked past them, lacking the courage, but then I reconsidered and went back. Some unknown bravery pushed me to overcome my shyness, that sense of intrusiveness that often holds me back when doing street photography. I got so close that I became part of the scene, I took two close-up shots very very close to the couple, then other 2-3 shots more from a distance. The two stopped kissing after a while and walked away hand in hand. They didn’t even notice me.
Here is the complete series with other photos, randomly posted together as you can see.

That’s all folks
Stay well, have always light in your life
